Election Bribery Probe: One Suspect's Detention extended, Two Released
Three suspects arrested last week on suspicion of distributing cash to voters in exchange for supporting Ra'am appeared in court; one remains in custody until November 3, another released on conditions, third sent to house arrest

Israel Police announced that three suspects arrested last Tuesday in an election bribery investigation appeared today (Sunday) in Beer Sheva Magistrate's Court for a hearing on their detention.
The court ruled that one suspect's detention will be extended until November 3. A second suspect was released on restrictive conditions, while the third was placed under house arrest for eight days.
Police said the investigating unit requested a stay on the implementation of the decision regarding the third suspect. The investigation into the incident continues.
The three Negev residents were arrested last week on suspicion of involvement in an attempted election bribery scheme, using funds allegedly intended for distribution to citizens in exchange for voting for the Ra'am party.
Police conducted searches of the suspects' homes, during which they seized envelopes containing tens of thousands of shekels in cash, along with notes and additional evidence suspected of being connected to the offenses under investigation.
