Motorcyclist Killed in Head-On Collision with Taxi on Route 780

A motorcyclist was killed Thursday afternoon in a collision with a private vehicle on Route 780 near the exit from Kiryat Ata. The 35-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene, becoming the fifth person killed in traffic accidents across the country since morning.
The initial report reached Magen David Adom's 101 dispatch center in the Carmel region at 5:14 p.m., indicating a severe scene with a victim lying on the roadway. Emergency teams from Magen David Adom, Hatzalah, and United Hatzalah rushed to the location and immediately began medical assessments.
When responders arrived, they found the motorcyclist lying beside the road, unconscious, without pulse or respiration, suffering from multi-system trauma and critical injuries. Medical teams provided emergency treatment and conducted comprehensive medical checks, but given the severity of his wounds, they were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene.
MDA paramedic Alex Buchman and medics Avi Feibelzon and David Avraham described the dramatic moments: "We saw the motorcyclist lying beside the road, unconscious, without pulse or respiration, with very severe trauma to his body after being struck by a vehicle. We performed medical checks, but unfortunately his injuries were significant and we had no choice but to pronounce him dead." Naftali Rotenberg, head of United Hatzalah's Carmel-Krayot branch, and his deputy Chaim Avni confirmed that "this was an accident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene due to the nature of the severe injuries he sustained."
In addition to the fatal injury to the motorcyclist, the driver of the private vehicle, who sustained minor injuries and various trauma from the collision.
Hatzalah medics David Zer and Avi Feibelzon reported from the field: "When we arrived, we found a motorcyclist, a 37-year-old man, unconscious without pulse or respiration with multi-system trauma after being struck by a vehicle. Together with medics and paramedics from Hatzalah and MDA, we performed medical checks on him, but unfortunately due to the nature of the injuries, the paramedics were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene. We also provided initial medical treatment to the vehicle driver with trauma to his body, and he was evacuated in light condition for continued treatment at Rambam Hospital in Haifa."
Police forces and traffic investigators arrived at the scene to collect evidence and investigate the circumstances and causes of the severe accident.
