Golan to Netanyahu: "Recognize the Election Results Now"
Democrats leader Yair Golan calls on the prime minister to publicly accept the election outcome after Election Committee chair and Shin Bet chief ruled out foreign interference affecting results

Democrats party leader MK Yair Golan issued a sharp call today (Sunday) directed at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, demanding he publicly recognize the election results.
Golan's statement came following clarifications from Election Committee chairman Justice Noam Solberg and Shin Bet chief David Zini, who stated that the investigation into suspected foreign influence does not cast doubt on the overall validity of the election results.
"Solberg and Zini have clarified. Now it's Netanyahu's turn to announce immediately and explicitly that he recognizes the election results and respects them," Golan opened.
The Democrats chairman sharply attacked the continued casting of doubt on the results by figures in Likud and the prime minister's circle, accusing Netanyahu of encouraging conspiracy theories.
"As long as Netanyahu refuses to do so, he gives tailwind to the election fraud conspiracy," Golan warned. "This is how a dictator behaves who refuses to accept defeat at the ballot box."
According to Golan, the attempts to undermine the validity of the election results demonstrate the severity of the political situation: "His conduct illustrates the danger in continuing his rule and the urgency in implementing the voters' decision and establishing a government of change and rescue."
