The Foreign Ministry announced Friday that the Israeli embassy in Nepal is working to locate Israeli citizens with whom contact has not yet been established, following extreme weather conditions that have struck the country in recent days.

According to the Foreign Ministry's statement, Nepal has been hit by extreme weather in recent days, including heavy and continuous rains that have led to road closures and travel disruptions in various parts of the country. A number of Israeli tourists are located in mountainous areas where access is difficult.

The ministry added that the Israeli embassy in Nepal is in contact with tourism companies and local guides, and is working to locate Israelis with whom contact has not yet been made and to provide assistance, as much as possible and according to field conditions, in efforts to move them to safe areas.
